You’ll need
Certifications
✓Bachelor's degree in clinical/medical laboratory science (CLS/MLS), medical technology (MT), chemistry, biological science from an accredited institution
✓or bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in addition to a certificate in MLS.
✓A HEW certificate may be substituted for the specified degree.
✓Ongoing education, training, and certification may be required to meet prevailing regulatory requirements.
✓Evaluation MUST be completed from an organization listed as a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) www.naces.org OR the Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc. (AICE) www.aice-eval.org
Education
✓or a Master's degree from an accredited institution in chemical, physical, biological, clinical laboratory science or medical technology and two years of relevant laboratory experience.
✓UNOFFICAL, OR OFFICAL COLLEGE TRANSCRIPTS
✓and for foreign trained lab personnel to provide a detailed equivalency evaluation to include US equivalent degree at the applicants expense.
✓MUST show US equivalent degree
Qualifications
✓Four years of relevant laboratory experience
✓Other clinical laboratory specialty certificates will be reviewed and approved on a case by case basis.
✓Experience with operation and troubleshooting of laboratory processes, assays, databases and spreadsheet applications.
✓Experience with complex test file build definitions and/or testing algorithms in the laboratory information system.
✓Experience with the IM test implementation process.
✓Capable of performing under time constraints, multi-tasking, and working in a fast-paced and changing environment.
✓Demonstrates self-motivation, attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication.
✓Able to work independently.

About the role
Works with the laboratory information system technical specialist (LIS TS) coordinator and the management team to provide direction for the LIS support of the laboratory, including operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory file build. Accurately documents and tracks changes made to laboratory file build using the test implementation system process (TIP).
