✓Requirements
Licensure
✓Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Nebraska or current compact state license required.
Certifications
✓Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later).
Transplant coordination certification after two years of hire or transfer date preferred.
Education
✓Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required.
Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree preferred.
Qualifications
✓Minimum of three years nursing experience or other direct patient care experience working with complex patients required.
✓Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written format required.
✓Ability to work independently and within a multidisplinary team, using good judgment and assessment skills required.
✓Ability to demonstrate competent leadership and teaching ability required.
✓Willingness to travel required.
Prior solid organ transplant experience preferred. Prior cardiology experience (ICU, CCU, or equivalent) preferred. Based on position, prior pulmonary experience (ICU, CF, PH or equivalent) preferred.
