AHMG Rothman Orthopedics at Orange City 1061 Medical Center Dr., Suite 304, Orange City, FL Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30p may travel to cover other Rothman locations as needed Previews charts pre-operatively, documents pertinent information, and distributes post-op discharge instructions. Coordinates patient care with homecare nurses and arranges necessary medical supplies. Communicates test results and follow-up instructions to patients, and handles incoming calls.
Provides administrative support, including drafting letters, scheduling, and assisting with clinic preparation. Assists with data collection and documentation during patient intake and rooming. Reinforces patient and family education based on identified health needs.
Assists with minor procedures, blood draws, and specimen handling. Examines post-operative patients and performs wound checks for possible infections. Performs history and physicals for pre-operative patients.
Manages prescriptions, including e-prescribing, obtaining pre-certifications, and communicating with pharmacies. Conducts pre-operative and post-operative calls, ensuring all necessary information is obtained and patient questions are answered. Other duties as assigned.
