Learn more about Cedar Creek Hospital online at: Cedar Creek Hospital Description Licensed Practical Nurses carry out the daily routines of patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse and House Supervisor: Provides direct patient care according to nursing care plans and the patient’s treatment plan.
Participates with other personnel in maintaining a safe and therapeutic milieu. Assists with behavior management, crisis control, seclusion and restraint, under the direction of the registered nurse. Assists RN with patient admissions and discharges.
Administers medication and treatments to patients. Assists with medication education, informed consent and monitoring the effectiveness and efficacy of medications. Documents the administration of medications and treatments according to policies and procedures.
Hours Nights - Three 12 hour shifts per week, 7:00pm-7:30am Qualifications Job Requirements Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing. Basic understanding of psychiatric nursing theory, and practice, with previous psychiatric clinical experience desired. Demonstrated clinical competency in providing general nursing care.
