Position Details: Join a fast-paced 26-bed unit that cares for adult orthopedic and general surgical patients recovering from a wide variety of procedures and injuries. With a 6:1 nurse-to-patient ratio, nurses gain experience managing post-operative care for patients undergoing joint replacements, fracture repair, abdominal surgeries, and other surgical procedures. Surgical 4500: 4500 Hall Details: Beds: 26 Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 6:1 Patient Population: This unit offers opportunities to develop expertise in pain management, wound care, mobility progression, rehabilitation, patient education, and discharge planning.
Nurses work closely with an interdisciplinary team while caring for patients with wound vacs, surgical drains, PCA pumps, traction equipment, and other specialized post-surgical needs. What makes this unit unique is its blend of orthopedic and surgical populations, providing a strong foundation in post-operative recovery while helping patients regain function, independence, and quality of life after injury or surgery.
