✓State of Nebraska license required.
Certifications
✓Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.
✓Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon completion of unit orientation required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later).
✓Mammography certification from ARRT required within one year of hire or transfer date required.
Mammography certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred.
Education
✓Completion of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited program in radiology required.
Qualifications
✓Minimum of 40 hours of mammography training required.
✓Minimum of five mammography continuing education units (CEUs) per year required to meet Mammography Quality Standards Assurance Act requirements.
Digital mammography training preferred.
Ability to manage and interact with patients and families of all age groups preferred.
Experience with multi-dimensional medical imaging systems, medication infusion pumps, vacuum pumps, oxygen bottle, patient transportation device, film processors, and quality control equipment preferred.
Experience with radiology information system, mammography tracking system, and stereo-tatic breast preferred.
