Performs screen mammography studies and at least one other modality such as x-ray, EKG or bone densitometry. Obtains patient history, explains routine procedures and addresses patient concerns. Under the direction of a Team Leader, is responsible for assisting in the training of other technologists, certifying that techs meet competencies.
Maintains department quality assurance programs. Positions patients safely and comfortably and explains basic procedures. Prepares and maintains written documentation as required by the profession and the department.
Schedules cases to coordinate with other patient examinations. Prepares, maintains and scans appropriate documentation required by the department. Required for All Jobs: Performs other related duties as identified.

Qualifications Minimum
High School Diploma or GED Required Work
3 years Relevant experience. Required Licenses: Registered Technologist-Mammography - ARRT Upon Hire Required and Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required Certified Bone Densitometry Technologist Upon Hire Preferred Courses and Training: Accredited program in radiologic technology and training in mammography procedures.
