Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas has served North County’s coastal communities since 1978. We’re located at Santa Fe Drive and I-5, within walking distance of a park, fitness center, grocery store, pharmacy and restaurants. Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas’ campus includes Scripps Clinic Encinitas and an outpatient imaging center.
We’re home to notable specialty programs including a 24-hour emergency room, accredited stroke care, physical rehabilitation services (including a brain injury day treatment program), our Baby Friendly birthing pavilion and a Level II neonatal intensive care unit. This is a full time, benefited position generally working Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm but hours will vary as needed. Located at Scripps Memorial Encinitas Hospital with the potential for a partial remote schedule based on business and department needs.
This is an exempt and salaried position eligible for the Management Incentive Compensation Plan (MICP) at the Manager level.

Responsible for the oversight and leadership of the activities and functions of the department Works collaboratively with system medical staff leadership to improve the functions within the department Participates in department strategic planning and contributes to its success through effectively communicating goals and expectations to staff Leads process improvement within the scope of authority to streamline operations using the Scripps Management System (SMS) Develops and maintains organizational systems and processes for the operations of the Medical Staff Office Maintains consistent and professional practitioner experience Works collaboratively with Chief of Staff and Physician Operations Executive at the site Oversees the scheduling and coordination of Medical Staff meetings in collaboration with the appropriate physician leadership Collaborates to maintain Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules, and Regulations Proficient in Microsoft suite programs and experience with MD Staff credentialing system Acts as a liaison between the Medical Staff, Administration, and all hospital departments and committees Demonstrates knowledge of The Joint Commission Standards and CMS Conditions of Participation Participates in the education of the Medical Staff regarding changes in Bylaws, Rules & Regulations Participates in the peer review process and collaborates with the Quality & Risk Management Department #LI-JS1 Required Education/Experience/Specialized
Five years experience in a medical staff office, 2 of which in a leadership role or leading projects/project management experience. Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification: CMSC, CPCS, or CPHQ.
