Manager Nursing - Surgery General

Plans, supervises, and evaluates the delivery of nursing care, the performance of assigned staff, and unit management 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, for designated clinical area(s). Works closely with the Director of Nursing to ensure continuity of care across the continuum. Minimal supervision required.

Required

Coursework/Training: Meet the criteria to sit for the NCLEX examination and become licensed in the State of Texas. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field. Upon hire: Texas Registered Nurse License Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association Upon hire: TNCC, ENPC - TNCC and ENPC Instructor preferred (for Manager, Pediatric Trauma Program only.) 3 years of Professional nursing experience. 2 years of Clinical experience in specific clinical area.

Coursework/Training: Nursing Leadership and/or leadership certification. Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Admin., Business or related field. Upon hire: Specialty certification related to practice Upon hire: Provider Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association 3 years of Supervisory/leadership experience.
