Growing together. The Accounting Manager is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting within OptumRx Mail Service/Digital Pharmacies. The role will be heavily partnered with team members, leadership, and other functional partners throughout the organization.

This role manages key accounting functions, including monthly pre-close and close processes, revenue and COGS recognition, inventory costing, Intercompany transactions, and other Gross Margin reporting The position also provides leadership and development for a team of direct reports Develop, implement and maintain processes and procedures for accurate and timely analysis of financial data, ensuring best practices Develop and maintain internal control structure, risk assessment and procedures for financial reporting Resolve high level financial reporting issues Assists in the monthly review of financial results; providing direction to peers and team members Monthly analysis of P&L with variance commentary Develop and process journal entries; revenue/expense accruals and activity Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations Supports Acquisition Cost Plus Client reconciliation and reporting Assist in development and documentation of processing efficiencies Support various projects as needed You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or equivalent field 5+ years of relevant and progressive financial analysis and solid analytic experience Experience successfully managing multiple requests, assessing priorities and achieving solutions under deadlines Intermediate level of working knowledge of GAAP; ability to effectively use accounting knowledge to collaborate with varying levels of employees and senior management to drive sound business decisions Proven intermediate level of proficiency with Excel Proven excellent written and oral communication skills; solid executive presence
