POSITION OVERVIEWJob SummaryResponsible for multiple critical financial reporting processes including account and legal entityconsolidations, maintenance and creation of consistent reporting throughout the organization, and thereconciliation and validation of data between financial systems. Serves as a liaison between theCompany’s finance departments and IT to ensure complete and accurate financial information whilecomplying with internal control standards. This role will require an understanding of Generally AcceptedAccounting Principles (GAAP), the general workings of ERP systems, and internal controls within aSarbanes-Oxley compliant organization. Roles and Responsibilities
- Maintains the Company’s general ledger for reporting purposes including the creation andmaintenance of accounts, legal entities, locations, segments, combination groupings, crossvalidation rules, segments, etc.
- Reconciles and validates critical data between the Company’s ERP and other financial reportingsystems
- Assists in the creation of internal and external reports including monthly management reports,quarterly reports, audit reports, etc
- Serves as a liaison between the Company’s finance and IT departments
- Identifies and pursues efficiencies through process enhancements or automated solutions andpartners closely with a cross function of Company leaders, internal and external IT resources toimplement change or creating efficiencies
- Assists in creating consistent, standardized reports that can be utilized by accounting, finance,and financial reporting teams
- Demonstrates strong critical thinking and issue resolution skills, especially issues impacting ourfinancial systems and our close processes
- Generates ad-hoc reports and assists leadership with interpretation and analysis of trends andvariances
- Collaborates with other members of the accounting team to provide solution-orientedrecommendations for the Finance Organization and Business at large
- Provides coaching and oversight to accounting and financial reporting teams
