Manager Quality and Safety-High Reliability Organization (HRO)

The Manager of Quality and Safety is responsible for the daily operational oversight of the hospital system’s safety and quality initiatives under the guidance of the System Director. This individual leads a clinical quality and patient safety team to hardwire High Reliability Organization (HRO) principles into clinical workflows, ensuring that patient care is consistently safe, evidence-based, and compliant with all state, federal, and accrediting body requirements.

This role provides direct oversight for safety event investigations, coordinates root cause analyses (RCAs), drives quality improvement projects, and ensures transparent communication of quality performance across the system. Other information:

Clinical degree as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Practice Provider (APP / APN / PA) required. Current Arkansas practicing license in good standing. Bachelor's degree required.

Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA), Business (MBA), Nursing (MSN), or Public Health (MPH) preferred.

Minimum of 3–5 years of clinical practice experience preferred. Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in patient safety, quality improvement, risk management, or a related leadership role within an acute care hospital system. Experience managing patient safety or quality teams/programs is preferred.

Proficiency with Epic EMR is required. Strong clinical acumen, critical thinking, and advanced analytical skills to conduct thorough investigations of complex patient safety events. Certifications/Licensure: Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS), Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), or Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) recommended within two (2) years of hire.

This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
