Certifications

Education
✓Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Qualifications
✓Solid knowledge of transit service operations, policy and regulatory compliance, and commercial professional passenger-transport licensing requirements.
✓Strong interpersonal, communications, active listening, coaching and mentoring skills.
✓Proficiency in basic computer applications and administrative analysis applications.
✓Strong proficiency in defensive driving skills, customer service, and problem solving.
✓Ability to prioritize effectively and establish and meet schedules in a high-volume, politically sensitive environment.
✓Strong team building skills.
✓Strong political acumen skills dealing with variety of transit customers.
✓Strong employee supervision and leadership skills to motivate and inspire staff to improve customer and transit services.

About the role

The Manager Shuttle Services is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, planning, and performance of UCSF’s campus shuttle system. This position ensures reliable, safe, and customer-focused transportation services across UCSF sites. The manager leads a team of drivers, dispatchers, and support staff, and coordinates with internal departments and external stakeholders to optimize service delivery.
