✓Requirements
Licensure
✓Candidates must hold a LCSW license (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) in the state of Louisiana
Certifications
✓Current CPR/BLS and hospital-approved verbal de-escalation and physical crisis-intervention certification, or successful completion within the hospital's required orientation period, with ongoing maintenance thereafter.
Education
✓Graduate of an accredited social work, or related mental health field; Master’s Degree required.
✓oral, reading, writing and mathematical skills at the master’s degree level
Qualifications
✓A strong knowledge of TJC, HCFA, OSHA regulations, and patient rights standards and all other applicable federal and state laws and regulations governing mental health care facilities.
✓Skills/Competencies: Clinical and management experience required: experience in inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings
✓demonstrated skills in working with diverse populations
✓experience in fiscal management
✓experience in clinical supervision
✓experience in crisis, individual, family and group treatment
✓public speaking, teaching and training skills
✓experience in program development
✓skills in interpreting and applying standards and regulations
✓organizational, time management, problem solving, crisis management and team building skills, and demonstrated ability to be creative, flexible and calm.
3-5 years’ experience in psychiatric/mental health field. Prefer candidates with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in advanced clinical/management practice. preferred
