Licensure
✓Controlled substances, insulin and allergy doses must be checked by a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practitioner.
Certifications
✓American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) Healthcare Provider Completion Card prior to start date and maintained.
✓Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification from one of the following accredited organizations:
✓American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) OR
✓American Medical Technologist (AMT) OR
✓National Healthcareer Association (NHA) OR
✓National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) OR
✓American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA) OR
✓National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) OR
Education
✓High School Diploma or equivalent.
✓Technical Diploma in Medical Assisting.
✓Work Experience In Lieu of Education: With No Technical Diploma : Additional six (6) months or more in related clinical experience.
Qualifications
✓American Medical Certification Association (AMCA).
✓Background Check: If hired into Memory Disorder Clinic OR Health First Aging: Satisfy the State of Florida, Agency for Healthcare Administration (ACHA) Level 2 background screening.
✓Proficient in Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
✓Must be able to pass colorblind testing to perform point-of-care (POC) tests requiring color change.
✓Strong customer service skills including knowledge of recovery techniques.
✓Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
✓Ability to assist more than one provider at a time.
