Role Overview As a Medical Assistant, you play a vital role in supporting providers and nursing leadership to deliver quality and compassionate care to patients. Your responsibilities include administrative and clinical tasks that ensure a seamless patient experience, from greeting patients to assisting during examinations and procedures.

Greet and escort patients to the exam room, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable experience. Take medical histories and measure/record vital signs accurately. Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring they are informed and at ease.
Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, providing necessary support. Demonstrate clinical competence in performing a wide variety of clinical skills related to ambulatory patient care. Qualifications What You Will Need Required Qualifications High school diploma or G.
E. D. equivalent. Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160 hour minimum).
OR Graduate from a Medical Assistant program without completion of a clinical externship but with a minimum one-year experience in clinical medical assisting within the past five (5) years. OR Current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in clinical medical assisting. OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
OR Licensed Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years. OR Military trained medical personnel with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills. Successful completion of HFMG pharmacology class and test.
Current BLS-C certificate.
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
