Medical Terminology Certificate preferred - at time of hire
Education
✓High School Diploma / GED Required at time of hire
Qualifications
✓Take patient's vital signs. Prepare patients for the provider's care. Assist with patient examinations or treatments
✓Correctly document all entries in the medical record, either electronic or hard copy, to include signature, date and time.
✓Observe and report patients' signs or symptoms. Collect routine laboratory specimens as directed by the provider.
✓Administer basic first aid.
✓Participates as an active care team member in the coordination of patient care.
✓Additional Details
✓A requirement of having completed an MA program that is accredited by the National
✓Commission for Certifying Agencies, a national or state medical association, or an agency
✓approved by the board
1-year - Medical assistant – preferred
2– 4 years clerical/customer service experience, ideally in a health care related industry - preferred
1-year experience with third party payors, and computer experience for imputing data and reviewing - preferred
