The Medical Assistant is responsible for a variety of patient care, technical, and clerical related functions. The Medical Assistant is responsible for the clinic patient flow by assisting members of the patient care team and providing a broad range of health care services. As a member of the patient care team, the Medical Assistant is also aware of the psychosocial needs of patients and families.
High School Diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an approved Medical Assisting Program preferred. O ther education as approved by the DON.
Work
One (1) year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant preferred but not required. Certifications & Licenses: Certified as a CMA, RMA or CCMA or eligible for certification. Certification must be obtained within six (6) months of hire.
CPR /BLS certification from American Heart Association
Days 1st Shift · M - F 8a - 4:30p
