You’ll need
Certifications
✓Current BLS/CPR certification.
Current Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification. preferred
Education
✓High School Diploma or GED.
✓Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program or a minimum of three (3) years of relevant Medical Assistant experience.

Previous experience in an orthopedic or surgical specialty practice. preferred
Knowledge of orthopedic conditions, procedures, casting, and splinting techniques. preferred
Experience supporting surgical patients throughout pre- and post-operative care. preferred

What you’ll do
Support orthopedic surgeons andSupport orthopedic surgeons and providers in delivering in-person, telephone, and telehealth patient care
Prepare patients for examinationsPrepare patients for examinations, procedures, injections, and surgical consultations
Obtain and document vitalObtain and document vital signs, patient histories, medications, and clinical information within the electronic medical record
Assist with casting, splintingAssist with casting, splinting, wound care, dressing changes, and other orthopedic treatments as directed
Coordinate imaging studies, diagnosticCoordinate imaging studies, diagnostic testing, referrals, and surgical scheduling
