Float Medical Assistant for Holyoke Medical Group and Specialties. This position will be required to float to all practices as needed to perform duties within the scope of responsiblity of a medical assistant. Will assist patients with entry into the clinical area.
Take vital signs and document into the patient's electronic medical record. Prepare patient for Provider visit. Assists Provider with patient procedures.
At conclusion of visit determines, arranges, and submits for appropriate follow up care including additional appointments, educational materials, diagnostic tesings and third party referrals. In addition, will be responsible to clean, straighten and stock exam rooms.
High School graduate or equivalent; successful completion of a medical assistant training program current CPR certification; Certification as a CMA/RMA is required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire; Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
