Day Hours: 4 10 hour days/week Recruiter Contact: Carlee Maiman at clewis9@pennstatehealth.psu.edu SUMMARY OF POSITION: Responsible for providing assistance with various health care services, for obtaining specimens for conducting routine lab studies of specimens, and for assisting with administrative functions such as coordinating patient flow and scheduling appointments and phone messages. Serve as a trained preceptor for new medical assistant orientation and for instruction of medical assistant students.
Responsible for one project or initiative annually in the one of the following areas: Service Excellence, Quality, Staff Development, Information Technology, or Medical Group functions.
H igh School Diploma or GED required. G raduate of an accredited Medical Assisting Program required. 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient practice or clinical specialty required. Active status for Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) required.
BLS certification required. K NOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: E xcellent oral communication skills required. C omputer skills required.
