Role Overview As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing quality and compassionate care to our patients.
Working under the direct supervision of providers and nursing leadership, you will perform a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to support patient care. Greet and escort patients to the exam room, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable environment. Obtain and record accurate medical histories from patients. Measure and record vital signs, preparing patients for examinations and procedures.
Assist providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring smooth and efficient patient care. Perform administrative tasks to support the clinical team and enhance patient care. Qualifications What You Will Need Required Qualifications High school diploma or G.
E. D. equivalent. Current BLS-C certification upon hire or successful completion by the end of orientation.
Additional
Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160 hour minimum). OR Graduate from a Medical Assistant program without completion of a clinical externship but with a minimum one-year experience in clinical medical assisting within the past five (5) years. OR Current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in clinical medical assisting.
OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). OR Licensed Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years. OR Military trained medical personnel with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years.
