Assist administrative and clinical team members by performing a variety of clerical and clinical duties to ensure departmental function within the health care facility as well as departmental compliance in accordance with State and Federal regulations. Such duties include but are not limited to: administers new hire screening tests, maintains all current employee health files, provides injections, data entry and implements EH programs. Participates in volunteer programs and special assignments. Performs other duties as assigned within scope of practice. POSITION EDUCATION/ QUALIFICATIONS :
High School graduate or G.E.D. certificate required.
Completion Medical Assistant Program required.
BLS certification within 90 days of hire date.
Must be able to be sensitive to cultural and bilingual issues.
Organizational skills is necessary
Good written and verbal communication skills required.
Ability to read, write and speak English
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of nursing, administration, and physicians
Prefer hospital experience JOB KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE :
One (1) year experience preferred
Immunization administration, veni-puncture and urine collection experience required.
Must have Excel, Microsoft computer experience and must be able to learn department IS system
Able to adjust and/or troubleshoot monitoring equipment, and computer equipment.
Must have excellent customer service skills.
High degree of competency/experience in general.
Requires good communication and organizational skills.
Requires reasoning ability and good independent judgment.

B. Working Conditions : The individual spends over 95% of his/her time in an air-conditioned environment with varying exposures to noise.
