JOB
Performs laboratory specimen collection, for COVID specimens and all office responsibilities at the Walk In Primary Care . Performs the Registration process which includes: Obtaining, updating and entering correct patient demographic and insurance information into Meditech . Performs lab registration, labeling, and bagging specimens.

, DUTIES AND
Maintains confidentiality of patient’s identity & protected health information by practicing HIPPA guidelines. Demonstrates the ability to function within the medical records in order to provide information to customers. Consistently greets patients & visitors upon arrival in a positive & professional manner.
Performs basic phlebotomy skills for subsequent test procedures. Performs all office responsibilities such as registers, collects payments, maintains records, orders supplies, answers the phone, and ensures accurate charges and orders have been placed on all applicable patients. Maintains a neat, safe, and orderly work station, including the ordering and organization of supplies, to facilitate an efficient work environment.
Demonstrates a commitment to professional accountability and growth to maintain and expand knowledge and skills. Performs all laboratory specimen collections according to policy. Demonstrates a commitment to incorporating the core concepts of patient family centered care into practice (dignity, respect, information sharing, and participation).
Demonstrates a commitment to the development and implementation of shared governance across the Organization. Performs all other duties as assigned WORKING CONDITIONS, HAZARDS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT: Works in a well lighted, ventilated and air conditioned area. Often exposed to unpleasant odors, sights and sounds.
Long periods in a stationary position and moving around the unit are required. Risks exposure to disease, infection, physical strain and assault. Risks exposure to blood, body fluids, tissue, radiation and antineoplastic agents.
Must be able to move or position 25 lbs. independently. CONTACTS WITH OTHERS: Patient, family members and significant others, physicians and Associates, other healthcare providers, community resource personnel, administrative staff and Organizational support services.
