You’ll need
Certifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
Certified Medical Assistant national certification preferred.
Education
✓High school diploma or equivalent required
associate degree in Medical Assisting preferred.
Qualifications
✓One to two years of direct Medical Assistant experience or related medical field experience required.
✓Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and customer-service skills.
✓Confidence managing competing priorities in a busy clinical environment, including a high volume of phone calls.
✓Accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to patient privacy and confidentiality requirements.
✓Ability to obtain vital signs and manual blood pressure readings and collect blood samples and other specimens.
✓Working knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, protocols, electronic health record systems, and medical office software.
✓Sound judgment, problem-solving skills, and effective time management.
