The Medical Assistant position is responsible for coordinating and assisting the provider to ensure safe quality/cost-effective service and care for the people within the practice population. This position will also be responsible for providing technical clinical services and clerical support for the delivery of quality patient care as directed by licensed staff, a physician, or a mid-level practitioner.

Working the front desk to be the first friend face to greet patients Collects patient assessment data to include height, weight, vital signs, chief complaint/symptoms, and current medications for assessment by licensed staff Prepares the patient for provider evaluation by obtaining specimens, positioning for exams, listing medications, and assisting during exams and procedures Maintains work area, exam treatment, and lab in a clean, safe manner; restock with supplies as needed Assists with lab procedures by collecting urine specimens, collecting, and preparing blood samples for reference lab; labeling all specimens with accurate patient ID as ordered by the physician Documents patient information in the medical record to include updated treatment procedures, medication refills, test results, and patient concerns, etc.
Assists and processes all scripts, referrals, and authorizations as needed Manages flow of patient care, while ensuring phones are being answered, and appointments are as efficient as possible Schedules patients for injections and infusions Orders supplies and medications. Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program Current MA Certification BLS/CPR required upon hire Proficiency with MS Outlook
