Department: 100 - 830100 TG - Wellness For Life Position Description: The Medical Assistant is responsible for supporting all clinical activities and providers in the provision of medical services. • Prepare patients for office visits (vitals, chief complaint, documentation in EMR)
• Assist with exams, medication administration, and point-of-care testing
• Coordinate referrals and gather info for medication pre-authorizations
• Maintain accurate patient records and follow HIPAA guidelines
• Restock exam rooms and manage clinical inventory
• Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and providers

1. One (1) year of experience as a Medical Assistant preferred OR completion of a Medical Assistant or equivalent training program preferred. 2. Demonstrates basic efficiency in using electronic medical records, general computer technology, accurate typing, and proper grammar. 3.
