In this Medical Assistant role, you will learn from healthcare experts as you work side by side to provide care for patients in a clinic setting. At OptumCare, part of the UnitedHealth Group family of business, you will build meaningful relationships with patients, their family members, health care providers and office staff while providing high quality direct patient care. Position Details:
Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm; No evenings, weekends, or holidays! Specialty: Family Practice Primary
Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment & instruments Room patients, obtain health history and check vital signs Document patient care using electronic medical record software Administer medications and perform injections/immunizations Assist providers with minor, in-office procedures and perform point-of-care testing Schedule appointments, complete prior authorizations, process medication refills, handle referrals and answer patient calls as needed You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.
Required
High school education or GED equivalent Medical Assistant Certification (CMA or RMA) or you must be willing to attain that certification within 9 months of the start date
EMR/EHR experience Experience with Epic medical records software Experience with medical front office and back-office duties including vitals, injections, administering medications, referrals, prior authorizations, and insurance verifications 1+ years of MA experience Graduated from an accredited MA program CPR Certified Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc.

The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 - $29.00 per hour based on full-time employment.
