Ark-La-Tex Dermatology is seeking a Medical Assistant. The MA will provide nursing care to patients in the physician offices under the supervision of the Clinic Physician. The
include, but are not limited to, the following: assessing the health status of patients and collaborating with the nursing staff and physician to establish care procedures; contributing to the planning of appropriate nursing interventions; medication administration for oral, intramuscular, subcutaneous, or intradermal; assist patients with activities of daily living; document patient assessment; communicate pertinent information regarding patient condition to other members of the health care team; and provides information to patient/family regarding disease process or diagnostic procedures.
A Louisiana license is a requirement for this position and previous dermatology experience is preferred. The applicant selected for this position will be required to attend a hospital-wide orientation as well as a department orientation upon hire.
