✓Requirements
Certifications
✓Registered Medical Assistant from American Medical Technologists OR NCCT National Certified Medical Assistant OR Medical Assistant Certificate from American Association of Medical Assistants OR Certified Clinical Medical Assistant from National Healthcareer Association
✓Basic Life Support from American Heart Association
✓Must maintain certifications current and complete annual CEUs to meet CLIA regulations and/or licensing requirements.
Education
✓Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program that includes phlebotomy training.
✓High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
Qualifications
✓Week 1: Mon, Wed, Fri Week 2: Tues, Thurs, Fri
✓Completion of all Kaiser Permanente Medical Assistant required competencies within the first sixty (60) days of employment, and annually thereafter.
✓Effective interpersonal and customer service skills.
✓Effective communication (written and oral) skills.
✓Proficiency in the use of applicable computer software.
✓Problem solving skills.
✓Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
✓Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
Minimum one (1) year of full-time experience as a nursing/medical assistant OR relevant experience OR successful completion of a Kaiser Permanente externship preferred.
Proficiency in documenting in an electronic medical record system preferred.
