Medical Assistant - Wound CareESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Interview patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients’ charts. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. Assists with treatments ordered by physician as supervised by physician or nurse.
Performs select clinical duties. Performs basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records and filing. Performs basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies.
Assists with maintaining a clean and orderly environment. Provide patient instruction and education as directed by the physician or nurse, or refers when appropriatePerform phlebotomy and injections under nurse supervisionMINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:Microsoft Office knowledge and computer skills requiredAbility to maintain effective communication and professional working relationships with patients and their representatives, managers, physicians, other clinic staff, outside agencies, and the public.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:High School Diploma or GED1 Year of Experience Working in an Outpatient settingPREFERRED EDUCATION AND
Graduate of Medical Assistant program or Associates Degree in Medical Sciences with emphasis in AnatomyREQUIRED LICENSE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION:BLS credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
