St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant for our Rehab department located within the Florence Sports Medicine.
We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Medical Assistant to support both clinical and administrative operations within our outpatient practice. In this role, you will provide direct patient care by preparing patients for examinations, obtaining vital signs and medical histories, assisting providers during treatments and procedures, documenting clinical information, and educating patients as directed. You will also play a key role in patient registration, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, prior authorizations, and medical records management to ensure a seamless patient experience.
The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional customer service, effectively manage patient communications, coordinate scheduling and referrals, maintain accurate electronic medical records, and support day-to-day clinic operations. Additional responsibilities include maintaining exam room supplies and cleanliness, handling incoming calls and messages, collecting applicable patient payments, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to providing outstanding patient-centered care. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education, Credentials, Licenses: H. S.
Diploma/GED Accredited Medical Assistant Certification or Credential for the state where work is performed Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be acquired during orientation.
