You’ll need
Certifications
✓Valid National Certificate in Healthcare Interpreting CHI or CMI or certification within 12 months of hire, required.
Education
✓High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
Two years of college education, preferred.
Qualifications
✓Completed accredited medical interpreter training, required.
✓Formal interpreter training, required.
✓Bilingual. Fluency in foreign language and English, required.
✓Effective customer service, communication and interpersonal skill.
✓Experience interpreting in a health or human service organization, required.
One year of experience in a health care organization or interpreting in a health care of social service organization, preferred.
