You’ll need
Certifications
✓MLT certification (or eligible) through ASCP or AMT required
✓Certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire if not already certified
✓Ongoing maintenance of certification required
Education
✓Associate degree in chemical, physical, or biological science or medical laboratory technology required
Qualifications
✓OR completion of equivalent military training (50+ weeks)
✓(Clinical internship of 12 months meets this requirement)
✓Strong knowledge of laboratory equipment and quality control procedures
✓Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
✓Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
✓Ability to remain calm in emergency situations
✓Strong communication and teamwork skills
✓Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
One year of laboratory experience preferred

This position will work independently a majority of the time, requiring strong clinical judgment, technical competence, and the ability to prioritize in a dynamic emergency setting.
