Medical Lab Technologist - PT/PRN

✓Requirements
Certifications
✓LICENSURE, REGISTRY, CERTIFICATIONS: Registered Medical Technician or equivalent required.
Education
✓Graduate of an accredited school of medical technology or related field required.
Qualifications
✓Maintain confidentiality on a daily basis.
✓Work well with other employees.
✓Follow standard precautions when providing direct patient care or handling potentially infectious materials.
✓PERSONAL JOB-RELATED SKILLS: Knowledge of medical equipment and their processes and procedures. Effective oral and written communication skills. Familiar with operating computers and ability to utilize computer systems.
✓PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Duties of position require clear understandable speech and the ability to hear.
✓Also required is intermittent walking, sitting, and standing.
✓Some bending, stooping, and reaching is required with the lifting of items on occasion up to 22 pounds.
✓The ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions.
One year experience working in a medical laboratory preferred.

About the role

Collects blood specimens from patient and performs established clinical tests and procedures. Interprets test results. Process other specimens delivered to the laboratory.
