Baptist Health is currently looking for a Medical Laboratory Assistant III to join our Anatomic Pathology department at Baptist Medical Center. This is a Full-time Day shift opportunity working 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM Monday - Friday, but should have flexible availability to pick up other shift times as needed. We serve families throughout the area with high-quality, comprehensive care for every stage of life. The Collection and Accessioning department is the section of the laboratory where specimens are received, sorted, entered into the Laboratory Information System, labelled with barcoded labels and processed. As a Medical Laboratory Assistant III, you will be responsible for: Performing a variety of clerical and technical duties associated with the pre- and post-analytical handling of laboratory specimens and results.
Communicating laboratory results and responds to specimen-related questions from physicians and various other caregivers. Collecting blood specimens for routine and special laboratory procedures. Utilizing computer functions.
Experience
Less than 1 year Phlebotomy Experience Specimen Processing Experience Education & Credential
High School Diploma/GED Required Associate's Degree Preferred Certified Phlebotomy Technician Preferred This Medical Laboratory Assistant III position will be located at Baptist Jacksonville.
