We are currently seeking a passionate individual who is eager to make a difference in a dynamic healthcare environment. Performs skin punctures to obtain blood specimens for laboratory testing.
Responsible for prompt, accurate processing of test requisitions, accurate charging, registering and ordering tests for outpatients, informing techs of stats and other timed or urgent testing. Telephone patients, physicians and nursing units when required. Maintains neat and organized collection trays, collection areas and work areas.
Persons in this position are expected to demonstrate logical, professional behaviors under demanding and stressful conditions. National Phlebotomy Certification preferred. Qualifications Education Required: High school diploma or GED Licensure/Certification/Registration Preferred: Phlebotomy Certification Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required: Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
