ChristianaCare is seeking Medical Laboratory Scientists (MLS) and Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLT) to join our General Laboratory team at Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware. That’s why we’re recruiting for several full-time opportunities within our General Laboratory. Current schedules include: Evening
2:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. Day
7:00am - 3:30pm Full-Time Flex - Evening
2:30pm - 11:30pm Weekend rotation: Every other weekend required Holiday rotation: 2–3 holidays per year required Eligible evening and weekend hours receive additional shift differential pay . What You’ll Do As an MLS/MLT in our General Laboratory, you’ll provide accurate, timely laboratory results that clinicians rely on to make important patient-care decisions.
You’ll: Perform clinical laboratory testing accurately and efficiently Operate and maintain automated laboratory instrumentation Perform quality control and document appropriate corrective actions Verify critical values, specimen identification and test results Help ensure STAT and routine testing meets established turnaround times Follow laboratory quality, infection prevention and safety standards Collaborate with laboratory and clinical colleagues to support exceptional patient care
Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, Medical Laboratory Science, Biochemistry or an equivalent bachelor’s degree that includes completion of required clinical laboratory rotations through an approved education program. Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology. $29.80 - $44.71 This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
