- Nashville General Hospital is hiring a Medical Laboratory Tech in Nashville, TN. This position is primarily responsible for processing and analyzing a variety of biological samples obtained from patients under the direction of a general supervisor, department supervisor or designated technologist. As a Medical Laboratory Tech, you will:
- Uses appropriate techniques to obtain and maintain integrity of specimen in relation to test performed
- Maintains identification of specimens keeping records and documentation as required
- Prepares specimens for analysis and retains samples according to procedure.
- Analyzes samples by following protocol in Chemistry, Blood Bank, Microbiology, Hematology, or other areas of the Lab
- Monitors and maintains quality control and technical accuracy of tests, procedures, and final reports
- Operates and calibrates laboratory instruments to ensure accuracy Education High School (required) Licenses and Certifications Laboratory (required)
