This position will work in a Generalist role. The Medical Laboratory Technician is responsible for accurately processing, analyzing and reporting laboratory results in a timely manner with minimal supervision, while maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards. The technician comprehends and follows procedural guidelines in performance of laboratory tests to include (1) quality control monitoring; (2) computer applications; (3) instrumentation troubleshooting; and (4) specimen collection and processing requirements.
Qualifications for the MLT candidate: Required: Associate degree from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician Program or related field. OR already functioning as a MLT within HVHS (Grandfathered) as of June 2004. Preferred: MLT (ASCP) certification
