Licensure
✓Diploma/Certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program, OR an active CT CNA or EMT Certification, OR relative experience as outlined below
Certifications
✓Obtain CPR certification within six months of employment.
✓All required credentials to be maintained throughout employment
Education
✓High School graduate or equivalent
Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program or Associate’s Degree in related field of substance abuse and/or mental health preferred
Qualifications
✓In lieu of education requirement, at least one year of direct medical patient care may be considered
✓AED Training within six months of employment
Previous experience in drug & alcohol treatment or disease concept of addiction preferred
Previous experience with mental health and/or psychiatric population preferred
Familiarity with Alcoholic (or Narcotics) Anonymous 12-Step Program preferred
