Medical Physicist - Medical Physics_QMCP (Full-Time, 40 Hours, Day Shift)

• Responsibilities I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develops techniques used to standardize and calibrate imaging and therapy equipment.
• Recommends therapeutic and radiation safety procedures for patient care. II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking.
• Constant: sitting.
• Frequent: standing, walking, stooping/bending.
• Infrequent: reaching below shoulder. III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
• Maybe exposed to radiation. IV.

A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND

• Master’s degree or doctorate in physics, medical physics, or related field. • State of Hawaii license in Radiation Service or licensed under The Queen's Medical Center facility. B.

• Four (4) years experience as a medical physicist in a Radiation Therapy or Diagnostic Imaging setting.
• Experience with Brachytherapy, Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) and Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT).
