Job Summary and Qualifications In this role you wi ll: Document patient visits in real time by accurately capturing medical histories, physical exam nstr findings, procedures, diagnoses, and treatment plans as dictated by the provider. Support provider efficiency by entering orders into the electronic medical record (EMR ) exactly as instr ucted and ensuring documentation is complete and accurate . Create and document telephone encounters and other patient communications under the direction of the provider.
Ensure medical documentation accurately reflects the providers clinical findings and selected evaluation and management (E&M) level. Collaborate closely with physicians and advanced practice providers , escalating clinical questions or documentation concerns promptly for clarification. Maintain accurate , organized, and confidential electronic medical records while supporting efficient clinic workflow .
You Should Have: High school diploma or GED required . One year of experience in a clinical or healthcare setting with proficiency in medical terminology. Strong typing, documentation, and computer skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Current BLS certification required . Associates or Bachelors degree, completion of Anatomy & Physiology coursework, Medical Scribe certification, Medical Coding certification, or prior urgent care experience preferred. Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.
