Adventist HealthCare's Outpatient Orthopedic Practice seeks to hire an experienced Medical Scribe who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. As a Medical Scribe you will:
- Provides real-time documentation support to physicians and advanced practice providers during patient encounters.
- Accurately records medical histories, physical examinations, assessments, treatment plans, procedures, and other relevant information into the electronic medical record (EMR) while facilitating efficient patient flow and supporting quality patient care.
- Serves as a non-clinical assistant and does not independently provide direct patient care, clinical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
- Accompany providers during patient visits and document encounters in real time within the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Capture patient histories, review of systems, physical examination findings, assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions as dictated by the provider.
- Document laboratory orders, diagnostic testing, referrals, and medication changes as directed.
- Assist providers with chart preparation prior to patient visits.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned Qualifications include:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field preferred
- Coursework in medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, or healthcare administration preferred.
- Previous experience as a Medical Scribe, Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, or healthcare support role preferred.
- Experience working with electronic medical records preferred.
- Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills. Work

$18.00 - $22.79 If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.
