✓The Medical Staff Coordinator is assigned the responsibility of coordinating various medical staff activities and serves as a vital liaison between the medical staff, nursing staff, administration, and the governing body.
✓This role ensures effective communication and collaboration across departments to support the delivery of high-quality patient care.
✓The coordinator operates within the parameters established by administration and officers of the medical staff, managing schedules, facilitating credentialing processes, organizing meetings, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
✓Additionally, the Medical Staff Coordinator plays a key role in supporting staff development initiatives, and contributing to the continuous improvement of medical staff operations in a PRN capacity.
✓Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
✓Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
✓Strong organizational and time management skills.
✓Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
✓Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
✓Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and document management.
✓Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
✓Customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with physicians, advanced practice providers, leadership, and staff.
✓Experience working in a healthcare, hospital, medical office, or regulated environment.
✓Familiarity with credentialing, provider enrollment, scheduling, or compliance-related functions.
✓Experience maintaining databases and electronic records.
✓Basic understanding of medical terminology.
✓Experience preparing meeting materials, agendas, and minutes.
Minimum 1-2 years of administrative, clerical, healthcare, or office experience preferred.
