Medical Staff Coordinator

✓Requirements
Education
✓Education: High School Diploma or GED required . Associate's degree or higher preferred.
Qualifications
✓The Medical Staff Coordinator assist medical staff organization in the activities of the organization with knowledge of regulatory and/or accrediting agencies, interpreting standards and implementing change.
✓Responsible for medical staff credentialing process.
✓Acts as a liaison between health system administration, medical staff, hospital staff and the Governing Body.
✓This role reports to the Director of Physician Practices.
✓How you’ll contribute
✓Complete Provider credentialing and Provider onboarding scheduling.
✓Schedule and coordinate meetings, conferences, special events, appointments and travel arrangements.
✓Assist with Locum recruitment and is responsible for Locum scheduling.
✓Complete affiliation verifications.
✓Other miscellaneous Medical Staff Functions such as interpreting/implementing Medical Staff Bylaws and assisting Providers as needed.
✓Compose, type, and transcribe correspondence, forms, reports, presentation materials and other written communications.
✓Receive, screen, and route visitors and telephone calls.
✓Respond to, escalate, and follow up on inquiries and problems as appropriate.
✓Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
✓Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
✓Works independently with proven organizational skills and attention to detail
✓Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and exercise sound judgment
✓Demonstrates proficiency in verbal and written communication skills
✓Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels; both internal and external
1 year experience in a Medical office setting preferred.
