We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of technical tasks and procedures in the Blood Bank, Chemistry, Hematology, and Microbiology departments. Key
Blood Bank: Perform crossmatching techniques. Apply problem-solving skills and judgment in dealing with antibody challenges. Understand the indications for transfusion and ensure proper action before releasing products that do not meet criteria.
Demonstrate knowledge of Quality Systems for good blood bank practices. Chemistry and Hematology: Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation. Apply knowledge of Quality Control processes.
Maintain competency and assist the Core Lab Supervisor with additional tasks. Microbiology: Conduct routine collection, inoculation, and processing of all specimen types. Prepare and promptly interpret stains and smears according to departmental procedures.

Minimum of a BS degree and specialized training to obtain certification as a Medical Technologist and licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist. Familiarity with medical terminology is required. Basic computer literacy is required.
Experience with Windows, word-processing, spreadsheets, graphics, and databases is preferred.
