Certifications
✓This role is intended for Clinical Laboratory Scientists/Medical Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience and verified/recognized certification.
✓For this level, the employee must demonstrate certification accepted by the Department of Pathology, or MS degree plus 2 years relevant clinical laboratory experience in an approved CLIA laboratory.
✓Certification through ASCP or AMT as an MT, CLS, or MLS is required
Education
✓Work requires formal educational background in biology, chemistry, hematology, immunohematology and microbiology normally acquired through a four-year post-secondary school program in clinical laboratory technology.
✓Completion of clinical rotation during final year of bachelor’s degree program or (one year) equivalent clinical lab experience or course work specific to the discipline.
