✓MLT(FBCLP): Medical Laboratory Technician certified by the Florida Board of Clinical Laboratory Personnel.
Certifications
✓Registry eligible
✓One of the following within 24 months of employment*:
✓MT(ASCP): Medical Technologist certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathology.
✓MT(AMT): Medical Technologist certified by the American Medical Technologists.
✓MLS(ASCP): Medical Laboratory Scientist certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathology.
✓MLS(AMT): Medical Laboratory Scientist certified by the American Medical Technologists.
✓CS(ASCP): Specialist in Chemistry certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathology.
✓C(ASCP): Technologist in Chemistry certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathology.
Education
Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology preferred
Bachelor of Science in a Biological Science preferred
Qualifications
✓Working knowledge of clinical lab procedures
✓Specialist ASCP: approved Specialist certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology
✓If hired prior to 1/1/2004, only registry eligibility is required
