✓Requirements
Qualifications
✓Required - Minimum two years of recent medical billing experience in physicians’ office or clinic with Medi-Cal, Medicare, Managed Care, and PPO insurances
✓We’re seeking detail-oriented, self-directed professional with:
✓Detailed knowledge of medical terminology and its applications
✓Skill in reading correspondence, charged documents, EOB’s and all other insurance forms
✓Knowledge of on-line registration procedures including payor data and financial classes
✓Frequent use of computer, fax, copier, printer, calculator, telephone, other general office appliances
✓Knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel software

About the role

In this key position, you will be responsible for the timely and accurately processing of inpatient/outpatient claims to third party payers. This will involve providing quality control checks on paper claims; processing tracers, denials and related correspondence; initiating appeals; and drafting, composing, and submitting appeal letters.
